Manvita Kamath, a renowned Kannada film actress, is currently juggling different mediums within the cinema world, from a Kannada-Marathi bilingual to preparing for a rare direct OTT release. She also has a Kannada theatre release planned for later this year. In an interview with Bangalore Times, she discusses her experience in the industry, the support she receives from her husband's family, and her excitement about exploring various platforms. Manvita expresses her love for the thrill of the big screen, but also acknowledges the power of OTT in reaching a wider audience. She values the opportunities that OTT platforms offer and anticipates the release of her upcoming projects, including her bilingual film "Chakhamakhi" and the direct OTT release of another film. Manvita reflects on the changing dynamics of the industry, including the impact of social media on how actors are perceived, noting the importance of authenticity in the digital age.I used to feel that I struggled in interviews due to a lack of content to discuss as news. Nowadays, with the influence of social media shaping people's perceptions, I question whether I should enhance my presence there. It appears that what is showcased online often shapes others' opinions, potentially overshadowing the hard work, discipline, and dedication put into my craft which may not always be on display. Despite any negativity, I remain determined not to let it affect me. I am grateful for my mentors and supportive friends, including my husband Arun and his family. While my mother was hesitant about my career in the film industry, I appreciate the enthusiasm my husband and his family have for my work and accomplishments. Reflecting on my journey, I acknowledge my past naivety. As I grow both personally and professionally, I have learned to set boundaries and not be taken advantage of. I have distanced myself from individuals who undermine my confidence, focusing on doing meaningful work and preserving my positive outlook.
